Prepaid travel card

My daughter is going on a gap year next month and I want to give her a prepaid travel card I understand it has to be her who purchases it, but I want to link it to my debit card so I can top it up in emergencies Is there a card that I can gift her, or do they have to be in her name, and the debit card (or bank account)…

I'd just use Chase or TSB with zero overdraft on the underlying account. There are loads of no fee forex cards about now for all possibilities, and the fintech ones like Revolut and so on are less attractive now IMO because of spend limits for forex unless you pay a subscription. The prepaid cards tend to be expensive (you think of things like Currensea, but the rates are pants).
