The date on your auto email response is the day they received it
Currently the waiting time delay for logging it is around 11 to 14 days, so check it the day of the deadline, resend it with the header below, changing the generic reference to yours
URGENT, UNPROCESSED DOCUMENTS Claim reference abc12345def
Add the same to the email, attaching the DQ pdf and stating the original response date
However, it will probably be logged by this time next week1 -
Just noticed dcb & dcbl are two sister companies and have slightly different emails.
Would it be this same email below to send a copy to for both as I can’t see the equivalent info@ address for dcbl
info@dcblegal.co.uk
My letters are from dcbl and the email on the letter is dcbltd.com
also should I send a copy to the claimant also ? Initially I thought dcbl were the claimant but its Britannia Parking Group.0 -
2 sister companies, completely different jobs, one is legal, the other is debt collection
Your claimant is Britannia Parking
DCB legal are working on behalf of the claimant, as lawyers, using the info@ dcblegal email address
DCBL are not involved, so ignore them2 -
Okay thanks for confirming, thought this may have been some purposeful confusing set up to catch people out.So definitely fine having just sent to info@dcblegal and not the claimant right ?0

Everything about the whole topic, including the acronym pcn, is designed to confuse and obfuscate
Correct, not to the claimant, just the lawyers and court only1 -
The parking company has chosen to use a solicitor so everything goes via the legal firm. Same as if you bought or sold a flat; you wouldn't (normally) contact the seller/buyer direct about conveyancing matters.
DCB Ltd and DCB Legal share the same group name because they are owned by the same person. I detest what they do and how they treat consumers but the names aren't confusing. It's normal to gave a group name (like Virgin Media, Virgin Airways, etc.).
The only confusing thing is the fact that their name includes the word 'bailiffs' and the letters (both firms) include the misleading line: 'Can't Pay? We'll Take it Away!"PRIVATE 'PCN'? DON'T PAY BUT DON'T IGNORE IT (except N.Ireland).
