purchases not on credit card

ok here we go

on dec 12th i bought goods to the value of approx £1200 on "A" credit card in pc world

the same day but earlier the wife spent £760 on "B" credit card in the same shop.
neither of these have appeared on the credit cards statement.

the day after the wife spent same amount on the same credit card but at a different branch and this has appeared on the "B" credit card.

so my question is how long can companies what until they have put your money thru the system.

cheers cash

what happens if i cancel my card?

only these waiting periods that the 2 above posters have mentioned seems to be a long time.

This is a very good question, I had £8.95 leave my account last month when I paid for the item in JULY! Halifax told me there is no limit on how long they have to paid to process payments, I just wish I asked what if I had terminated my account.

If you cancel your card it may still get charged and the CC company will bill you.

If you cancel your card any previously authorised transactions will be billed to you as normal when they get processed.
