McDonald PCN by smart parking

Hi,
my son and I visited one of the McDonalds on 25/08/25 before his tuition. We stay there for roughly 1 hour and 16 mins as he was doing his homework while we had our late lunch. I got PCN from Smart Parking issued on 04/09/2025. I wasn't aware of the time restriction. I appealed through Smart parking website using one of the template from here on 14/09/2025. I disputed based on Genuine shopper, Signage and asked them to cancel the charge or offer me a POPLA code. I got a rejection of my appeal on 06/10/25. They said I could appeal further with IAS. They didn't offer POPLA code. In the rejection letter, there was a IPC stamp. When I went to the store and checked the signage, it said BPA.
I know there is no chance of appealing through IAS but since they have BPA logo on their signage and IPC on the letter, do I have a chance to appeal further? Or shall I give a discounted charges ? Please help.
Many thanks

Just ignore them,  they moved to the IPC earlier this year, no chance of any appeal working, so IGNORE,  no paying

Thanks @Gr1pr: since they still using BPA signage and even in their webpage, it says they are BPA member, I am thinking of appealing again? I worry if I ignore, they will keep chasing it and ending up paying lots?

    No. You won't 'appeal again'.

You'll never pay a penny. Ignore DRAs and only contact them if you move house.

Still unsure that we are right?

Just click on the Guide under the little red 'MSE link' in the small 'Parking Ticket Appeals' banner at the top of this page which leads to the MSE Guide to fight PCNs.

Same info is shown in both this forum and in that Guide, as regards the debt recovery letters being a futile stage and risk-free. Consistent advice here is easy to find and not just from random strangers. The MSE Guide is official 'Martin Lewis backed' advice.

PRIVATE 'PCN'? DON'T PAY BUT DON'T IGNORE IT (except N.Ireland).
