Morning, thanks Gers. Hope you're all right.
It's dry outside, might get some washing out. I like to keep on top of the washing, nothing worse than a bulging laundry basket and a rainy spell.
I'll need to go to the shops this morning, when I've made my list. There's nothing major needed, though the freezer is looking a bit depleted. I'll run it down a bit more.
Hope everyone has a good day. Thinking of our poorly ones, hope you'll soon feel better.
Take care folks.14 -

Morning all
It feels very cold here this morning but it was like this yesterday and by lunch time it was really hot, at least it’s not raining though.
I am off to see Matt today there was a meeting Monday to see if his funding for the residential place would go ahead so I might hear more about his notice today. I am finishing at lunch time and going to meet a potential new lady so hopefully we will get on ok.
The chimney sweep is coming today, dd will be here to let him in, it was so chilly last night that we were glad of the fire we will have to order a load of logs soon to keep us stocked up.
Dinner tonight will be some salmon fillets with new potatoes and sweetcorn dd will probably cook as she is off today. I will pop into the shop on the way home to get a couple of bits, the main shop is coming tomorrow but we need milk for today.
Have good days all and take care xx13 -
Morning all and thanks for the start @Gers (sorry but it’s the 8th)
Wide awake at 4am again today but managed to get back to sleep. I’m hoping to finish mulching the last two island beds today plus there’s washing to do. DD and I are at a psychic night tonight at the local pub so we’ll have an easy tea of breaded fish and chips.Hope all our poorlies are feeling better. Missing @-taff and @nannywindow - hope they are doing okay x
Have a good day all

Morning all
I survived my first stint at college yesterday, it’ll be quieter for a few weeks then ramp up to normal next month. Had my flu jab too and no side effects. No firm plans today but, as usual, there’s plenty of jobs to do including mowing the lawn which has recovered fairly well from the drought. I might try and start doing some general weeding and try and remember not to go mad and just do an hour or so at a time. How everyone has a good day

Morning folks and thanks GERS. It's a dull start hereabouts but it's fine and calm and still feeling mild for October. Long may it last.
I am due to meet my DF for lunch. The day keeps changing but we are still managing once a week. I am awaiting her text to let me know if she is still ok to meet today. I have my fingers crossed! I have one or two bits to get in town but nothing that won't keep if she can't make it. Her health fluctuates but at least her DH has been on an even keel for quite a while now thanks to a change in his meds and he is much easier to live with.
Have a good day folks if you can with ((HUGS)) for our poorlies, sad or lonely. Take care all, stay safe xx

Thanks @Coxy - changes made.Good luck with both Matt and the potential new lady @Ruby. Enjoy the short peaceful period @AA. Bulbs will be confused too @Chrisca. @Scarlet - all good, arm still achy but that's to be expected. I managed to sleep on it for a wee while last so it's easing. My only excursion yesterday was to my TV guide. Later on I received a call from the local pharmacist to say that she's doing private COVID vaccinations (at a price of course) so am booked in for next Friday. After being totally free of the virus since the start I really don't want to chance my luck now. This morning I've packed a wee case for my brief jolly. It's only the jacket which stops me using my usual backpack. Had to top up shampoo and shower gel little bottles as I don't particularly like the ones supplied by hotels. To cheer up this gloomy morning my PB winnings hit my bank account, a very very modest win but a win nevertheless. I've got the remains of soup to finish, won't have more roasted cheese even though I really enjoyed it yesterday.Take care all - hugs all round.10

Morning all, thanks Gers. Hope you are all well or getting better. I need to take Lendog out shortly as I have a food delivery coming. We are back on the school run today & before we go to school we need to drop off our friends birthday hamper, unfortunately a week late due to our covid messing things up. I just need to pop the scones and cream in that should arrive with the rest of the food in a bit, then wrap it all in cellophane. It's a bit dull again & rained in the night. Not sure what's for tea as two fresh items I've ordered are out of stock. Quite a few subs as well which is unusual for Oc..obetter get a move on, have a good day.:heartsmil 'A woman is like a teabag: You never know her strength until you drop her in hot water'. Morning from a dull Mehefinland
It was still dark here at 7 o clock! had to wear a headtorch in the barn to do the chores!!!
Been mia for a few days as I managed to give myself food poisoning on the weekend - my own fault , as I had some chicken thighs and I didn't cook them long enough! Pretty drastic way to lose weight which I can ill afford! Suppose these lessons in life have to be learned sometimes but it's the first time I have made myself ill since I've been on my own. The trouble lies in that I have no permanent back up to help with the horses so I really can't afford to be ill. Feel a bit like death warmed up as my old Mum used to say.
Moving on, I have run out of paint for the last wall so that will be a trip into bee n cue when I'm in a fit state. This bloomin walls drinks the stuff!
Got a wheelbarrow load of pumpkins which were grown on the muckheap which I need to take to the library - they range in size from grapefruit to football - just shows what sort of dry summer we have had. Talking of the library, we have just been told we have been accepted as one of the worthy causes from the Co-op community awards. We want to put in a sensory garden and large play things as there seems to be so many children with needs. Along with the seating and planters we got last time it will make a lovely welcoming area . The downside is that we won't get the money till November next year - but we may have to fund it ourselves and repay so to speak. Need to have a conversation with our treasurer and trustees to see how we go forward.
Hugs and spoons as always

Morning everyone thanks for the start Gers hope your arm feels better soon . Well I have got a bit of a funny day today I recorded a programme about what you need to do to prepare for when you die I know it sounds morbid but it wasn’t and every year we say the same we must get our funerals sorted we must make a will and we never do so we have taken the bull by the horns and sat yesterday and discussed what we both wanted and what we want in our wills so tomorrow afternoon we are going to pay for two funerals and next Thursday afternoon we are going to see about our wills and POA we told all the family last night of course they were all inviting us for meals so they could poison us and get there hands on our money they are in for a shock there will be nothing left after we have paid for this lot but we have put it off to long . On a brighter note I am not cleaning today or tomorrow as the lady I go to today is on holiday and the one tomorrow her hubby is in hospital I don’t think he will be coming home so I will just have to wait and see what happens there . Washer has just stopped I have towels to hang out and then I need to do some excercise to help with this foot problem I’m having let’s see how I get on thank you to my lovely friend Gers for the advice. Mehefin I hope you feel better soon don’t be too hard on yourself anyone can make a mistake I was once really ill of a fish I bought from a fish shop at the seaside when the kids were little it was the worst bus ride home I’ve ever done in my life . Thinking of all the poorlies hugs to those that need them have a good day everyone whatever you are doing12
