I have solved it (I think)! Chrome Extensions had been mentioned and I disabled them to no avail and because I had tried Edge (which had no extensions, I rarely use it) it seemed sensible to dismiss that.
But used Task Manager just to see if I saw anything odd and I saw Adblocker there. A little bit of extra checking and realised adbocker (which was a Chrome extension) had added itself to start-up programs so was always running even if had been disabled in Extensions. So I stopped adblock360.exe running and removed it from StartUp programs. Result my human rating on Cloudfare went from 1% to 98% and no further trouble (including this site by the way).
As an added bonus I enable adblocker extension and on a small trial that continues to work without adblock360.exe running.0 -
I've been having issues with CloudFlare doing extra verification for a number of months now. The internet is getting to be a real PITA, it used to be so simple. Now it's pop-ups everywhere, agree to terms, eat some cookies, paywall, verify you are a robot....0
