Liniar is a well know reputable supplier of UPVC windows and doors. All to strict quality standards.
Problems are more likely to occur at the local level with the fabricator/installer, so it is useful to get any local feedback on them.0 -
Im trying to compare a couple of local companies and finding it hard to compare specs hence my question!0

The typical business model is that you buy your windows from a local fabricator/installer. ( You can buy from a national company like Anglian or Safestyle, but best avoided.)
They will have a relationship with one of the manufacturers of UPVC window systems, who supply them with the profiles that are used to fabricate the frames+ often all the hardware like handles, hinges etc and the materials to install the windows properly.
There are a limited number of manufacturers of the systems and mainly all are producing good quality systems, with just some small variations in design/aesthetic features.
However the fabricators/installers are very numerous, often just employing a handful of people.
As in all trades many are very trustworthy and reliable, but a few are not, and quite regularly some go to the wall.
So the key thing ( in my opinion) is to find a local company with a good reputation, but not to worry too much about the actual window system manufacturer that supplies them.
Also pay no deposit or only a small one. If they ask for a big deposit its a red flag.0 -
