What postal service do you use?

With the recent royal mail price increase ive been thinking about other options. Im talking about normal deliveries with a business ebay and amazon account.
Inpost is very tempting (depending on height it can be £2.63-£6 for 15kg item) Though with inpost, evri and yodel you will need to declare slower deliveries. Ive found inpost particularly slow.
So im just wondering if you prioritise price (couriers) or speed and reliability with royal mail?

It’s always worth looking round but always check out the restrictions on what can be carried, couriers often have more restrictions than RM in certain categories.
i would only consider locker/shop to home, I wouldn’t even consider locker to locker as there’s only a 2 day pick up window after which the item is returned to sender. That puts the prices up a little, starting at £2.89 for a small parcel (I have never checked out discounts available for a business account so that might be cheaper) Also be careful about eBay delivery estimates as Inpost (now merged with Yodel) can be variable and eBay won’t take that into account with giving buyers EDD.
i use Inpost a lot on Vinted , I have experienced lost parcels with them - I’ve 2 lost at the moment and having to wait the month required before Vinted pay me and refund the buyer. However I’ve also a lost Evri as well so I suspect all couriers are about the same. Now that Inpost and Yodel have merged you can also drop off Inpost parcels at a Yodel shop, which is very useful.I’m a Forum Ambassador and I support the Forum Team on the eBay, Auctions, Car Boot & Jumble Sales, Boost Your Income, Praise, Vents & Warnings, Overseas Holidays & Travel Planning , UK Holidays, Days Out & Entertainments boards. Question for my OH. How do you set the delivery options on vinted? Each buyer chooses a different method and you end up doing a route!

i use Inpost a lot on Vinted ,Shipping as a seller
Choose which options you’d like to use for each shipping type. From your address
A courier collects the order from you. From a drop-off point
You take the order to a location like a locker or parcel shop.
Deal with each of those options in turn. Annoyingly 'anyvan' in the collect from home cannot be disabled- but it's hugely expensive and unless you are sending a piece of furniture never gets offered to buyer. If it does on a smaller item I would apologise to buyer and cancel the sale.
Under drop off options the only one I have removed is RM as there are notorious tracking errors on Vinted and a lot of the time sales are cancelled before tracking gets to update as sent.
One word of warning, if you limit the options too much then Vinted reserve the right to override them and offer the buyer an alternative.
One other point to consider. Check your courier shops, I can send everything I want via just 2 shops.
One does relay/DPD/RM/Yodel and Inpost, the other does Evri and RM - I no longer have to worry about Inpost locker sbeing full.I’m a Forum Ambassador and I support the Forum Team on the eBay, Auctions, Car Boot & Jumble Sales, Boost Your Income, Praise, Vents & Warnings, Overseas Holidays & Travel Planning , UK Holidays, Days Out & Entertainments boards.
