What postal service do you use?

With the recent royal mail price increase ive been thinking about other options. Im talking about normal deliveries with a business ebay and amazon account.

Inpost is very tempting (depending on height it can be £2.63-£6 for 15kg item) Though with inpost, evri and yodel you will need to declare slower deliveries. Ive found inpost particularly slow.

So im just wondering if you prioritise price (couriers) or speed and reliability with royal mail?

It’s always worth looking round but always check out the restrictions on what can be carried, couriers often have more restrictions than RM in certain categories.

i would only consider locker/shop to home, I wouldn’t even consider locker to locker as there’s only a 2 day pick up window after which the item is returned to sender. That puts the prices up a little, starting at £2.89 for a small parcel (I have never checked out discounts available for a business account so that might be cheaper) Also be careful about eBay delivery estimates as Inpost (now merged with Yodel) can be variable and eBay won’t take that into account with giving buyers EDD.

i use Inpost a lot on Vinted , I have experienced lost parcels with them - I’ve 2 lost at the moment and having to wait the month required before Vinted pay me and refund the buyer. However I’ve also a lost Evri as well so I suspect all couriers are about the same.

Now that Inpost and Yodel have merged you can also drop off Inpost parcels at a Yodel shop, which is very useful.
