My friends mother passed and I am completing forms AS1 and AP1 etc to help out. I have a letter of adminstation for his mother but checking the title deeds his father who passed away decades before is still on the deeds. I assume I would need another letter of adminstation for his father, can you confirm this please.

agree with @SDLT_Geek - my father was still on the registry as owner 20 years after his death. When I sold the property with Mother's probate all that was needed was a copy of his death cert and my solicitor did the rest1

After my husband died his name remained on the deeds as joint owner until I sold the house.
My solicitor needed sight of the death ceritficate and simply noted on the notice of sale to land registry that he had died and she had seen the death certificate.0
