I had my car MOT'd on Friday just gone and it failed on the rear nearside brake pad being to thin, it had an advisory of the offside rear brake as well, but no mention of the front brakes what so ever on the MOT test certificate. The other option is to run them until your down to metal on metal then you definitely will need pads and discs. Not recommended.

When last did you change them?

This is why folk need to find mechanics they trust. I am very lucky to have one.
