unable to see the british gas deal in the email on the website
In the latest MSE money tips email there is a MSE Big switch winner:
WINNER 1: Cheaper-than-the-market's cheapest.
British Gas 14mth fix for both new & crucially existing customers. This is the cheapest BG fix since Sept 2021 and is an average 15.2% less than the new 1 Oct Price Cap.
Existing BG customers can get it too,
However, when I click through on the link, I can't see British Gas anywhere on the comparison website?

I was able to see it by changing the current energy provider in the form to something other than British Gas. Have filled in the form and started a "switch".0

On my BG acoount this morning, they are offering Nov 26 V6, shows how quick offers have been moving the last few days.
If you can still get energy club offer that was available on the 1st it beats the V6 hands down.Play with the expectation of winning not the fear of failure. S.Clarke0 -
I saw that too, they are very similar actually, almost the same unit rate and slightly different standing charge, plus the £10 cashback just tips it in MSE's favour.Eldi_Dos said:On my BG acoount this morning, they are offering Nov 26 V6, shows how quick offers have been moving the last few days.

For me the difference would have been a extra £58 for gas and £60 for electricity per year, then there is the cashback to take into account.dmn001 said:

I wish I had chosen the in-app tarriff. Over a month later, I'm still waiting for the switch to happen, either something went wrong with Cheap energy club or british gas. Not sure why its taking so long to switch.0

"Your energy switch is now in progress – great news, hopefully it’ll save you a decent chunk of cash."
2 weeks ago I emailled Cheaper energy club for an update:I can see that your application as successfully submitted on the 5th October for the Collective Nov26 tariff
I will contact British Gas for you and query this and they will provide you with an update.
but havent had a response since.0 -
the email says to contact british gas first, but i went to their web chat, and they say to contact the cheaper energy club for help.
"Thank you for confirmation. I request you to check the same website as we have no access to check this tariff as it is not supported by British gas".
"The supported website who will be able to give you further information isThird Party e.g. Money Saving Expert, iChoosr to check the switch (which will need to meet the eligibility criteria)."

All sorted out now, apparently there was a delay or communication issue from the 3rd party (cheap energy club) sending the info over to british gas (could be possibly partly caused by switching tariff on the same supplier vs switching supplier, or some information mismatch, and that it happens relatively often).
MSE team were very helpful over email in chasing it up for me, and I got a call from BG today to switch me over to the Collective Nov26 tariff and backdate it to the date of the switch and it's now visible in my account. Thanks
