LoC from BW Legal received via UKCPM

Greetings everyone and hope all is well.

First and foremost, thanks in advance to anyone who might be able to help, it’s greatly appreciated.

After collecting a gift from a friends estate where I’ve been to and parked numerous times before without penalty, it was to my surprise to receive a pcn from ukcpm for not having a valid permit.

I followed the advice from the newbies thread copying and pasting the template and filed the letters that followed. I have now received a LoC from bw legal and I’m aware the newbies thread has a template to write to their solicitor. Just to confirm, do I contact the solicitor then wait to see what follows?

Thanks

Regards

With BW Legal I personally wouldn't bother responding as they don't always follow through with a court claim.

Many thanks for the swift response car1980. I have read countless threads on MSE regarding LoC from bw legal but none have suggested ignoring them.

Is ignoring them not a risk at all?

Nope because getting a court claim is not affected by sending or not sending a reply.

    Thanks for the response.

Would I have any strong defence should the case go to court regarding ukcpm being the rogue traders they are? Is the success rate against them high?

They tend to discontinue their claims.

Literally EVERY PARKING CLAIM is defendable. Their claims have more holes than Blackburn, Lancashire.

PRIVATE 'PCN'? DON'T PAY BUT DON'T IGNORE IT (except N.Ireland).
