DCB Legal (Euro Car Parks) court claim

Hello, my son received a court claim form with an issue date of 16/09/2025. An acknowledgement of service was filed on 26/09/2025. He received two PCN's for overstaying when he parked overnight while he was away for work. I gave him some bad advice by telling him to ignore all the letters that followed so I now feel obliged to help him challenge this court claim. The car park is very far from where he lives and he can't remember what the signs said or what the circumstances were at the time.
I am going to use the template defence but don't really know what to put for section 3? Is it ok to just to put something like this:
"The vague allegations in this claim provide no evidence that the defendant has knowingly broken the terms of any contract with the claimant, let alone done anything that justifies the payment of any damages"?
I am hoping that DCB Legal will discontinue at the last minute as it often appears to be the case from what I have read here, but if the worst case occured and it went to a hearing and the judge found in favour of the claimant, would he/she likely award the amount being claimed (£367.20 plus £50 for cout fee and £50 legal costs?

Of course it wouldn't be that high if he lost at a hearing. But it'll be discontinued in 2026.PRIVATE 'PCN'? DON'T PAY BUT DON'T IGNORE IT (except N.Ireland).

No, ignoring was the right thing to do. There's often no method of getting these invoices cancelled and county court is actually the only defence option in most cases. So look at it as a plus for you, not them.
Also read the recent Mazur thread if Sarah Ensall signed the form.2 -
Thanks for your reply - the claim form was indeed signed by Sarah Ensall. I've just read the Mazur thread, and I'm hoping to add something into the defence regarding this - any advice on what to say would be gratefully received.
If the acknowledgement of service was issued on 26th September, is the deadline for filing the defence 14 days from this date?0 -
What to add is in other recent simolar cases on here , study a few defence drafts in them
Issue date was 16th September, AOS completed, so the defence submission deadline is 4pm on Monday 20th October ( 33 days from the issue date, not 14 days from the AOS date )3 -
Search for Mazur defence and you'll find the wording to change.PRIVATE 'PCN'? DON'T PAY BUT DON'T IGNORE IT (except N.Ireland).
