Buying a "new" Car...CC advice please

in Credit cards
Originally, I was simply going to use savings and pay off instantly.
However, I am thinking of getting a 0% interest CC, and paying it off monthly? Would I get accepted for £7000, income of £85k?
I have all the money in place but I also wonder if there are any CC that give a little cashback alongside 0% - if anyone has any advice or CC they have got that would be suitable I would be so grateful to know as I am not very clued up on CC apart from paying in full every month!!
Thanks for reading and hopefully any advice.

A - nobody on here can tell you the answer to whether you'd get that credit limit;
B - a dealer probably won't want to process the whole thing on CC due to fees.
So the advice is, Go and ask all the actual parties involved in the transaction.1 -
Last time I bought a car the dealership only accepted £500 on a credit card. Worth doing for the protection but the rest was paid on a debit card.Learn from yesterday, live for today, hope for tomorrow. The important thing is not to stop questioning. Albert Einstein0

As above put what you can on a credit card (any amount from 1p to £30k) to get S75 protection.0

I concur with previous replies - most dealers won't accept a credit card for anything other than a small deposit, due to the fees they get charged by the card issuer. In the olden days they would pass those fees on to the customer, but they're not allowed to do that any more.If you pay any amount by credit card (even 1p in theory) then you'll benefit from S75 protection, subject to the total cost of the car being between £100 and £30,000.The only way you could use a credit card would be to look at a money transfer card. But you'd have to factor in the transfer fee, and you wouldn't get any cashback or other rewards. So it's probably a lot of faff for very little gain - even if you can earn a bit of interest on your savings for the duration of the promotional offer, the benefit is likely to be marginal.0

Just remember that you get no S75 protection on a money transfer.Life in the slow lane0

A MT card allows you to pay cash rather than card but no S75 protection as a consequence. You will have a fee to pay for the MT so depends on what interest your savings are getting and how long the 0% is over. You also won't get any perks with a MT like cash back or air miles0
