What size of water butt do I buy?

I had 2 x 210l butts installed less than a month ago on a small bit of roof (a few m2, maybe 4ish), the second linked butt is already discharging so I have collected over 210l already! This is in the southwest.

Coming back to this thread - how did everyone's water butts cope this summer?
I had three but one of them sprung a leak (near the bottom 🙁) in June. I just about managed to eke the remaining two out but did resort to using tap water for some things I'd otherwise have used rainwater for.
Since the rains have returned (it's raining here now) the first one has refilled. I've also replaced the third so it's there waiting for its turn in the cascade.

Our two ran out months ago. I've got calluses on my hands from all the watering cans I've carried. One is nearly full now. We've not had much rain here in the east, and the first heavy rainfall brought down moss off the roof that blocked the gutter and stopped water going into the butt.

My 210l just failed to last by about 4 days. A few indoor plants and 4 tomato plants. First downpour filled up overnight.

Or a flexible bladder tank - You might be able to pick one up from a military surplus outlet.

Although it's a good idea to put a dark cover on them, to prevent algae build up from light.

They make black ones (intended for light-sensitive chemicals like bleach) which are worth looking out for, if you're worried about algal growth.
