Conveyancing - Has anyone used Smart Legal in London for their conveyancing

We have received a number of quotes for the conveyancing for our flat purchase.  Smart Legal of London are significantly lower than anyone else.  Has anyone used them and can they recommend them?

Never heard of them and personally not a fan of a firm using a co-working space as their registered address though the two directors list London residential addresses for themselves.

Very limited reviews on Trustpilot, though there's only 6 people working at the firm so clearly they arent massive. 4 positive, one negative but the negative just talks of being threatened for leaving a negative review. Google however has many more reviews; seems an unusual disparity in volumes. I'm fairly sure I also counted at least 9 different names being personally thanked in the Google reviews which seems a high number given their headcount.

I haven't heard of them, but have looked at the reviews and their website.

The reviews seem ok, however looking at the profiles of the staff working there, it doesn't seem like anyone is a qualified solicitor.  There are several qualified Licensed Conveyancers but they all seem to only have qualified one year ago and there are quite a few "Assistant Conveyancers" where they don't specify how much experience or qualifications they hold.

The firm is regulated by CLC (Council for Licensed Conveyancers).

Going by the above, you might be best to contact some other firms for comparison.

Conveyancing is a separate branch of law and you dont have to be a solicitor to be a conveyancer. Always found the below diagram useful showing the different branches of law, their regulator etc

    Thanks, I do know that.

Just concerned to read the profiles about the conveyancers that are working for this firm, which are very vague, don't appear to have been qualified very long and there is nothing to suggest they have extensive experience.  Probably fine for straight forward cases though.
