HP Stream memory help please

Morning all! I bought a little HP Stream a while ago and I really like its size and the keyboard (no space wasted with numeric keyboard for example) and I knew that the memory wasn't great. However I thought that as all my documents etc are out in the cloud on google drive, I wouldn't need a lot of storage and could just pull down anything I needed to work on and save back up in the cloud. Obviously I got that idea properly wrong!! I've taken all photos, videos etc off completely and put them onto an external drive to hopefully gain space - helped a bit temporarily but now back to how it was.
At the moment under devices and drives it's showing 534 mb free of 57.2 gb for google drive (G drive) FAT 32 and 562 mb free of 57.2 gb for Windows C NTFS. Switching off the wifi so the G drive isn't reading from the cloud doesn't improve things for the G drive which I feel it should as very few documents are stored locally.
As I said, I've obviously got the premise of all this totally wrong and have no idea really what I'm talking about so hope it makes sense to someone - please advise how I might sort it out so I have at least enough space to work with.
Thank you so much

Could you give the model number - it'll be on the base of your machine and look like eg 14s-dq0007na.
Have you paid for extra Google Drive or Microsoft Onedrive storage space? You get 15GB free with a Google account but only 5GB with a Microsoft account. Did the machine come with any free subscriptions to (eg) Microsoft 365?
Need to know a bit more about what/how you've set up cloud storage.0 -
Thank you. Model no is 11-ak0026na (gosh print is so tiny I hope that's right! Yes I pay for extra Google Drive (£1.59 per month) but not Microsoft. I think it came with Ms 365 but I don't use it. I use LibreOffice for docs. Thunderbird for email. Chrome for browser. Just checked again, I now have 1.13 mb free (G) and 1.62mb free (C) bonkers! 30 secs later 0 free for both drives so I hope this uploads. What on earth am I doing to it!!
Thanks again.

Yep that's a valid model number, that box comes with 64GB storage onboard.
Can you check that MS 365 product that came with it - the standard MS 365 Personal product comes with 1TB of cloud storage but this might be another variant or a 1 month trial.
You are paying for Google One at the 100 GB level, that's shared across all devices that you sign into with your Gmail account, like your eg Android phone. It stores your Gmail, photos, phone backup as well as storage for your HP.
Can you go to https://one.google.com/ login if you need to and see how much space you have free?
Have you got the Google Drive Windows app installed?

Thank you. Google One says 19% used.
Have had look around for the 365 account and it seems I do have one but I'm afraid I don't know which version. I obviously used an old 'throwaway' gmail account for it. Can't think why I signed up for it and I'm sure I've never used it for anything much. Do I need it and how would I get rid of it if not? I hate having extra things I never use but never know whether I have to have them anyway - or not. I don't pay anything.
It seems the Windows Google Drive app is installed too - again I had no idea. I just use the G drive through File Explorer. This is the first computer I've had with apps (though I use them on my iphone) so I still use Explorer for everything as I first did back in 1990 something!
Thank you and thank you also debitcardmayhem - I'll work my way through that list too.0
