Reporting Savings interest to HMRC
Comments
-
I had the experience tonight because I thought I needed to restart my self assessment (which you don't if interest is less than 10K). 50 min waiting time to call main help line, then get passed to PAYE. They can read which accounts have been reported already, then you need to tell them all the details (sort code, acct nb, start, end dates etc...) for the ones which are missing.
As I did not have the sort code (only account nb) I will have to call back again with all the information. There is no way to upload the information online, no wonder the phone lines are beyond busy.0
