Buying and selling on T212 without limit

I've recently sold about £40k worth of Amundi Global Tracker on T212 and set a limit slightly above current sell price.

It is selling in dribs and drabs, about 30k sold in 24hrs, in about 14 chunks of differing amounts.....

I also bought 40k worth of VHYL at best which went through immediately in two chunks of slightly different prices....

Does this imply these relatively small deals were impacting the price, meaning essentially you should always set a limit else the price will almost certainly move out of your favour...

In the past with II and HL much bigger deals have gone through in one hit.

Can anyone explain T212s policy...

5.1 and Section A-11 may be relevant. You might also get some insights from your contract notes.
I've traded on several different platforms (not T212) and have not seen any of my orders split up before.

T212 certainly seem to do things a bit differently.

I transferred £43000 from their cash ISA to their Stocks ISA.

I then used all of those funds to purchase shares in ALW (Alliance Witan), that resulted in 4 separate trades, all at the same time and executed at the same price, I only pressed BUY once!

The following week I transferred in 70,766 ALW shares from Hargreaves Lansdown.

Yesterday I received the quarterly dividend, so logged in and tried to buy more of the same.

This is when I annoyingly found out I was unable to do so as the maximum order/position size for ALW is 19,864

There was obviously no limit on the transfer in, but now I cannot buy any more ALW shares and the dividend will have to go elsewhere.

You get what you pay. There is a reason why trading is free on T212. They dont offer 15 sec live trade execution quote, like other big players platforms do. Try trading CSH2, orders are executed at random and never immediatly.
But, its generaly ok with big names eft.
