Likewise - was always one of the best things on this and the Consumer parts of the forum. I'd still like to believe that Richer are one of the few "good guys" left in the industry. Hopefully the rep and OP will post the outcome as and when
I think you'll find the good guys are the ones who don't need to be shamed into giving good customer service, and as a consequence don't appear on the boards at all.

I can give you some info about the screen going black for a few seconds.
I have a Samsung year old TV from Richer Sounds and with Virgin Media.

This happened to me since I got the TV a year ago.  I upgraded to 360 two weeks ago and got the engineer to come out and do it for me.  My box failed, and he had to replace with a new box, and yes it is a new not refurbish one. He also added an extra part to the white cable, which comes from the modem, and it has not happened since.

So rather that the hdmi cable it could be the V6 box or the white cable.

What are you counting as "the industry"?

Personally would put them in Hifi/AV bucket which is fairly full of good guys and certainly wouldnt include the likes of Currys in that bucket. Certainly not putting Richer Sounds down just saying there are other good ones out there

The industry in this case would comprise:
    Currys
    Independent Hifi shops
    Online specialists
    Amazon
    John Lewis

I have in the past used all of these. In this space though, Richer are the only ones with the high street presence even close to Currys, and tend to offer a very decent warranty.

Having been on this forum for many years, it does seem the level of complaints about Richer and JL, who were always known for their warranties, have both increased.

Hi, Thanks for your response, I already have a 360 box, and it also does it whilst watching the firestick.

I appreciate your assistance though. Cheers

    So just a quick update,
Tom arranged for a tv engineer to call round, and they are maintaining it is "impact damage"
I am still maintaining it is a fault with the tv, but seems theres nothing i can do about it.
Tom suggested i could claim on my house insurance as accidental damage and they could possibly pay the first year premium, although I dont feel right doing that as technically it is not accidental damage as no one has been near it.
He also said he could do me a good deal on a new tv, but im not ready to throw my 3 grand tv in the bin just yet. Even though the minor annoyance of the brightness changing and the picture going off plus the "damage" it's watchable and ill try and get as long out of it as possible.

Thanks to Tom for his assitance, I can see it from from their side but its very frustrating knowing you have done nothing wrong but cant prove it. Anyway it has put me off buying Samsung again and from Richer sounds.

Thanks to everyone that provided suggestions.
