How can I keep my no claims bonus active while driving a lease car?

I have maximum no claims bonus but for the past few years have been driving lease cars, meaning my no claims bonus is about to expire. Any suggestions on how to keep it live that don't involve insuring an old banger?

Insurers will only recognise ncd for a limited time, most commonly 2 years. The only way to keep it alive is to use it. It may be worth doing a quote on a random vehicle though with and without NCD, most insurers have slashed the amount of discount NCD represents and when combined with the introductory discount given to those with a clean record but no NCD it may not be economical to keep it alive.1
