I've also had bad experience with Gizmo. Are there other SIP clients for the P990i?

Sorry, after dropping UIQ when I dropped the P910i, I've not looked into it. I can tell you that there's no decent SIP clients for Windows Mobile, while the SIP client in Nokia's handsets is really, really, really nice. It just integrates into the normal calls - you can set it to be the default for calls (when available), and even if it's not the default it's so simple to use.

I'm planning to set up a VMWare VM with Asterisk on it for my local network and hook it to my Gizmo account (I've not had any problems with their Mac OS X client or using them in the standard SIP client on S60 - and the Mac OS X client can conveniently log into an Asterisk server, which makes it a very nice and easy to use general SIP client). Then when people call me they can get directed to 'a twisty little maze of IVR options, all alike'. I hope that this will encourage people to email me instead!
