UKPC - "Not parked correctly within the markings of the bay or the space"

Hello,

The driver received this for the reason stated in the title.

Parking Charge Date - 20/09/25
Date on Letter - 22/09/25
Date Received - 30/09/25

The driver did not park in an allocated bay at all, looks like they briefly parked behind another car, blocking them in potentially (bit of a clockwomble move I'm aware), as they may have been quickly returning something to a shop on a day that the car park was at a stand-still (15/20 minutes just to navigate from one end to the other, so was quicker to walk the 2 minutes).

I couldn't find a case of this for not parking in a bay at all, I believe the driver essentially created their own imaginary parking space, not near any bay or lines at all, so unsure how that may affect things.

Banged to rights and pay up? Any grounds for appeal due to not actually attempting to be in a space?

Thanks for taking the time to read.

Most UKPC cases go to DCB Legal to be filed as a court claim and then discontinued.

So I'd just ignore and come back here if you receive a Letter Before Claim.
