Morning all from a sunny place on the English/Welsh border.
We arrived yesterday and had a wonderful dinner last night.
TA I always think of you and your DH on this day as it is also our wedding anniversary. I hope you and DD have a lovely lunch and share some wonderful memories.
Gers hope you are starting to feel better, my cold developed over the weekend so now taking my rescue pack and bought along a nebuliser. DH woke up this morning with the cold so i think a restful day on the cards and we will travel round a bit tomorrow.
Derek glad you are enjoying the choir as you say time will bring perfection.
Hope everyone has a good day hugs to all who want them.

Morning all and thanks @Floss for today's start, I hope your flight left on time and you have a fab holiday. Nice to "see" you too @-taff, sounds like you're in for a busy time.
Here it's another day of sunshine mixed with cloudy spells but no rain, top temps up to 18 deg so still quite mild for the time of year. Mr Fox was out and about early last night but the hedgehog has been missing for a while (maybe he's found somewhere to hibernate), there are still a few ladybirds around and the cherry blossom tree at the back of my house is now dressed almost entirely in red leaves. It's a stunning sight that I expect won't last much longer since a spell of wet and windy weather is expected to arrive tomorrow to welcome in the start of the new month.
No luck contacting the optician yesterday so that's still on the To Do list but the winter curtain change over got underway with one room done, to be continued. Phone catch up with DS who said his interview last week seemed to go well, just waiting for a yes or no. Made a curd tart to use up a tub of cottage cheese that was fast approaching its use by date.
Today's plan - try the optician again, another curtain change and maybe a walk to the shop for milk. Tbf, I'm washing the windows, recess, curtain poles etc too before the clean curtains go up so the milk trip may not happen. Tea tonight is a fridge/freezer use up meal - bacon, black pudding, hash browns and baked beans.
I hope all our poorly people out there get well soon and am sending hugs for the sad and lonely. Take care all and have the best day you can. XBe kind to others and to yourself too.11 -
Good morning
A sunny autumn day here.
Well, I survived my first cataract surgery, although it wasnt an entirely pleasant experience. The surgeon only spoke to me twice, once to introduce himself and then at the end to ask if I was okay. Throughout the whole procedure he was moaning about different things to a colleague. I guess he was having a bad day. Still maybe when I have the other eye done it'll be better, unless I get him again.
I haven't been reading along so I hope everyone is okay. Will catch up soon.
Have a good day all, take care.

Hi everyone
A late one from me...I didn't have time to post this morning as I was busy sorting new gas and electric tariffs, both for myself and for mam and dad. I went down to have a cuppa with them before work.,,all was well and dad was proud to tell me he'd finished the new audio book by Robert Galbraith/JK Rowling. It lasted 31 hours !
I've been quizzing him throughout as her plots are always complicated and he seems to have followed it well ...though if I'd asked him what month it is or day he wouldn't have a clue.
I had a nice time with little one at the weekend, she stayed on Saturday night. Other than taking her for a bike ride to the nearest park we didn't do much other than play, we did spend almost 2 hours on Sunday afternoon making Halloween decorations out of playdoh.
I bet I wasn't the only one wishing they were waiting for a flight to Majorca with Floss this morning.
Right going to get my dishes washed. Hope you've had lots of happy memories today TA x
Remmie at least it's over with ......Happy anniversary to Newroadahead...enjoy your trip x8
