Morning All
Thanks for the start Floss, have a great holiday.
It's still dark and damp out, I think there's to be some rather horrible weather here over the next few days.
I'm ready for work early as the builder is coming to try to sort out a damp patch in the wall, expecting to be without the WM for a few days and quite a bit of mess in the laundry, just hope he can find the problem and fix it. I've been waiting a couple of years for him to sort it, good job he's a good friend! I caught a mahoosive spider the other night in my bedroom which is still under a glass, will ask him or his colleague to re-home it!
Apart from a walk to get some toiletries yesterday I did nothing, just slobbed about on the sofa getting a bit bored, still not feeling 100% but much better than I was.
Hope everyone is well or feeling better, take care. XX13 -
Morning allEnjoy Majorca @FlossLooking to be a nice day today (sorry @camelot1001)Set the timer for the washing machine last night but for some reason it didn't work so it's churning away now so will hang that out later.Bed changing today but apart from that not alot. I've been doing little and often weeding in the garden so might have another go at that later.Had my hearing test done yesterday and it seems my hearing hasn't changed! Am surprised at that. She put different domes (that's the official name for the rubber bits, who knew!) in which she said should help as my other ones were alot smaller.Hope everyone has a good day.12

Good morning, thanks Floss, have a lovely holiday!
It's not a bad start here, yesterday was a nice day, mainly sunny.
Hope the builder can solve the damp problem Camelot, and find a good home for the spider. I found a huge one in the bathroom a few days ago, how do they get so large?
I did an online shop last night, it's arriving between 12-4pm. I want to nip out this morning to a few other things, just to our little high street, then we'll be going to the quiz tonight. Just picked up an update on my phone for the shopping delivery, it'll be between 2.14 -3 14pm, handy to know.
Hope the poorly people will soon feel better, and that everyone has as good a day as they can.
Take care folks.13 -
Morning all - happy holiday @Floss - a little bit of sun before winter!I didn't go to my class yesterday, got the dreaded nasal drip which causes spasms of coughing, plus I felt rotten again plus I'm the youngest there so don't want to spread my nasty germs around the group. Unfortunately I did have to go up to the big town to collect two Marks orders which I managed without any bother. I also dropped off papers and cranberry juice to a poorly friend halfway up the road but didn't go into the house. After that I too slobbed around and, like @Camelot, am rather bored with it now.I had a peaceful and coughing fit free night so my fingers are crossed as I'm off to Glasgow later today (on the coach) for an overnight stay. I have a ticket for the Lulu event, she's talking about her life, promoting her book and doing some singing too. Whether or not I actually go is entirely down to my coughing! I won't go if the spasms are still there as it will spoil it for others and me. I get a 'free' copy of her book but probably won't want it so will give it away to someone else.Good luck with the builder @Camelot - well done to @Ruby for the report xx - @Chrisca - I call them tulipsI hope that all are well or getting better. Hugs all round.12

Morning folks and thanks FLOSS, have a happy holiday. You are escaping at the right time as its forecast to turn colder here as the week goes on.
I am here skulking in the bathroom with a colour on my hair, addressing the skunk look. The box has been waiting in the bathroom for about a week now with the roots looking worse by the day. I was up early (nothing new there!) so decided today is the day.
Today would have been our wedding anniversary. No matter how many years pass I still miss my lovely DH, he is often in my thoughts. DD is taking me out for lunch, as she has done every year since he passed as I know she misses him too.. I should have been meeting DF but she has kindly agreed to postponing it until later in the week.
Have a good day folks if you can and ((HUGS)) for our poorlies, sad or lonely. Take care all, stay safe xx

Good luck with the builder Camelot and I hope you start feeling better soon I hope the coughing stays away Gers and you get to the show something a bit different. Hubby is picking me up and we are going straight to try and get him a new pair of jeans not looking forward to that he won’t like anything he always complains the legs are to wide and he feels like he’s ready to take off I will get a look around a couple of shops not that I want anything hopefully we won’t be out long I’ve taken sausage casserole out of the freezer so it’s just to heat through so I will come back and have a cuppa and rest my foot it feels slightly better this morning but I haven’t tried walking much yet . Morning all; definitely chillier in the mornings now.
A busy week as we have 2 family birthdays, an AGM (tonight) and a Day of Dance on Saturday, for which I have offered to make a pudding. I'm also pudding person for Friday night so I think I'll be spending Thursday making things. I'm then babysitting for DD and DSiL Thursday night so they can go out to celebrate his birthday. This time last year I couldn't get to the AGM because we were surrounded by flood water so this year is an improvement!
@TA; thinking of you today.
@Coxy11: get that CV in and fingers crossed for a good result.
@Gers: that's a bit like my sinus problem so know how you feel. I hope you get to the Lulu event.
Hope everyone else is doing ok and has a good day.

Morning all
Cold but bright and sunny here looks to be a nice day, I have two people coming today and we are going to meet our friends and have a walk around a village near us that has a beautiful harbour we will have our packed lunch out and then go to our friends new house, she has been on the council housing list for years and finally got offered a place so she is happy and settled now, she needs 24 hr care so always has someone with her so this two bedroom place is ideal.
Dinner tonight will be chicken curry with rice, dd is working a sleep in today so she will eat at work, I need to do an online shop later or do a list and if it’s not too long I will pop into the shop after I have met with my potential new person tomorrow.
I took mum out yesterday and we both got a few Christmas presents just stocking fillers but it feels good to have started, We also had lunch out which she enjoyed.
Have good days all and take care xx10 -
Good morning from sunny (at the moment) Mehefinland.
Well it is certainly the season of mists and mellow fruitfullness!! A very heavy dew overnight, and this morning the mist is rising of the field like smoke from a bonfire . Next door's sheep looked like ghosts in the field - quite eerie!
It is burning off rapidly so another dry day in prospect- - more bloomi' painting though. Just borrowed a ladder to get to the high bits, but I think my cotoneaster may have to become a victim of the choppers so I can get close enough to the one part. It will grow back, I have had to hack it before and it bounces back in no time. There's a rambling rose which might be on the hit list too!!
@TravellingAbuela Sending virtual hugs.
Choir AGM last nigh t after a shorter rehearsal. A new to me piece by John Rutter massacredIt will come right in time lol.
Hugs and spoons as always
Mehefin aka Derek
