medical compensation claim after car accident - LYONS DAVIDSON

I had a car accident Feb 2021 ( not my fault) and car was written off.  Car claim was sorted but the associated company dealing with my injuries has not.  I suffered damage to my mouth and teeth and the company dealing are Lyons Davidson.  It was assessed that it was the 3rd party that were at fault and was told by my case handler that i would be due compensation to sort out my teeth,  Having had various examinations by their "expert" and 3D rehab and Premex. I was advised that I could either pay for my own treatment and claim or let LD sort out the treatment plan.  I went for the latter.  It then went really quiet no communication, a new case handler and then starting all over again.  I have just been told that there is a court hearing to keep the case open as it is over 4 years.  I have had to repeat information, my medical and dental records have been checked numerous times and all the dental professionals have told me that I need work doing to sort out my mouth.  I have complained several times verbally and am now going to do it in writing.  Is this the right thing to do?  I am totally disgusted with Lyons Davidson and their incompetence to come to a speedy resolution.  Advice needed please

I agree.  You need to make a complaint to Lyons Davidson so that competent legal professionals take over your case and bring it to resolution.
It has already been established that the accident was the fault of the third party and you have evidence of the damage to your teeth caused by the accident, so the case should be quite straightforward

If this has been going on for 4 and a half years then your teeth can't be that bad if you have put up with it for so long?

That said if the team dealing with it are dragging their heels then you need to escalate things asap.

What is the court case for please?

Law of limitations is 3 years for personal injury and so the OP's solicitor will have had to issue proceedings over a year ago. The case can't be paused indefinitely whilst the two sides still look at medical evidence etc and so there are periodical "case management" hearings with the judge to ensure things are still moving forward.

So has a figure been discussed for PSLA / General Damages?

Are they claiming Special Damages for the treatment or is the idea that you pay for any treatment from the General Damages?
