At my wits end with Samsung dishwasher

So have had this DW for a year now and it’s just 💩. It just doesn’t clean properly ever. Things look like they’re washed but get out a white tea cup and the tea stains are still there. I thought, perhaps, they were ingrained due to usage, but just wiping cloth removes them.

What have I tried?
Salt topped up
Rinse aid topped up
About 10 different types of tablets used from eco to finish ultimate or whatever they may called.
Cleaned the filter on numerous occasions
Checked the waste pipe isn’t kinked/going up and down then back up again.
run cleaning cycles with all the chemical suggested online

Currently going to the Miele outlet tomorrow to pick up one of those as soon as fed up of it.

Any further suggestions gratefully appreciated!

Tea stains are particularly difficult in my opinion.  Our dishwater does an adequate job of it.  You might do better by doing an occasional soak in the sink with some bleach or even some denture tablets.

Thanks - they literally wipe off with a cloth without any soap.

You've missed the 6 month deadline for when a complaint would presume an inherent fault and you could possibly have rejected it.

Bosch-Neff-Siemens group are my go to dishwasher brand.  Dunno what the price of Miele is cf a BSH group equivalent... but Miele do offer a 2 year warranty even with the lowest Grade3 in the outlet store so there is that.

Dishwasher filter screens ideally need cleaning every use.

Water hardness needs tested and salt regeneration adjustment set to suit.  Rinse aid is similar. Were both done?

My dishwasher has multiple wash settings and temperatures... tho I mainly use just the one.  Sometimes the default wash setting is not the best.

Thanks - Miele outlet prices make them the same as Bosch’s etc so will look at them. Thanks!

I bought a Miele dishwasher last year, and it cleans well but I find it’s a pain to load. I’ve always had Bosch ones before and I wouldn’t have believed there could be such a difference. Some of the spikes are too close together so bowls will only fit in alternate slots. And there are too many places for plates and not enough for mugs. So OK if you still use cups and saucers, but if you use mugs, or pasta bowls, not so much.
I bought the Miele for reliability which is a shame because I’ll probably have to put up with it for years before it breaks down and I can get another Bosch!!

I think you may find the same with BSH appliances...  One needs to go to see them 'in person'.

The layout of folding and fixed spikes, shelves etc.,. has changed between the what would have been19 year old Neff integrated that was here when we moved (and had rusted racks) and the "new" Neff we bought in 2022.  (I was looking at Bosch but this Neff was cheaper 'on offer' and has a projector display of progress time as a plus.)

NB Your Miele should still be working in 2044 - they claim 20 years ;) so if it really bugs you you'll have to resort to breaking it ;)

This - I am sure most people never do this.

It's possibly upper spray arms blocked. They usually come off for cleaning.

I'm pretty sure most people don't adjust the hardness settings. It's probably sufficient in most cases to use the data from your water supplier and not test the water for yourself though!
