The ASUS has a more powerful processor and twice as much RAM. Blue is a good colour.

Have you tried them both to see how the keyboard feels?
No reliance should be placed on the above! Absolutely none, do you hear?

    Yep, blue colour is cool.

Stuff to consider beyond the headline specs.

Something I do when I can actually get hands-on with a prospective laptop. Pick it up and try to flex (gently) the keyboard half. More robust laptops have a metal chassis and even metal externals and makes them more robust and they will resist this flexing.

Often forgotten about (although at this price point I'd hope it's a given) - is the keyboard backlit?

Fingerprint reader? Windows Hello camera? Both?

Asus for the 32GB RAM, Windows+CoPilot is spying on you all the time (although it's simple enough to disable Recall etc. for ever)

Another vote for Asus. If you didn't have the "free £400 voucher" I wouldn't touch PC World, John Lewis has a higher spec Asus for a similar price and offers a free 2 year warranty as standard. It has an Ultra 9 Processor and is £100 more.

To be fair to Curry’s, they have quite a few ASUS laptops including an Ultra 9 one for roughly £100 more.

My local store has neither in stock so I can't but I am going into town next week, so can ask for something similar. Thanks for your help.

Sorry to be thick but what is the difference between this Asus and the one I linked in my post?

Very similar, but the more expensive one has a more powerful processor.

That one is available in my local so will have a look. As long as it's not as heavy and bulky like this one, I will go for it.

Thanks a lot for your help,
