The prize:

The winner and guest will stay for two nights, half-board, in a Garden Suite at Seaham Hall, on the Durham Heritage Coast. The five-star hotel stands above a long, sandy beach and occupies the mansion where Lord Byron married in 1815. Inside you’ll find a vibrant sense of style and colour and the award-winning Serenity Spa, with a hammam, 20m pool, Zen garden and outdoor hot tubs.

There are two restaurants – the Japanese-inspired Geko for oysters, sashimi and grilled skewers and the Dining Room, where the executive chef Damian Broom brings his inventive touch to a menu of seasonal dishes and sharing plates.
