Remaining as Appointee for DLA

I have been appointee for my son's DLA for many years. He has just been awarded Universal Credit and I have been named as his appointee for this. I don't think he needs me to help with this. If I remove myself from this role for UC can I remain as his DLA appointee?

As far as I am aware, the decision to make you an appointee applies to all DWP benefits. The only way to stop being an appointee for one benefit will be to stop being an appointee for all benefits.5

There will be less work involved managing DLA than UC so if he is capable of managing UC he should be capable of managing DLA.Did he receive DLA as a child and moving to adult benefits as PIP is the adult benefit? Is he aware he gets DLA?0
