USB power bank

That's why I asked the OP what the power bank was going to, er, power. OP's requirement to power a DAC/headphone amp is rather different to running an electric body warmer (which just sounds wrong - do they supply those things with a power bank?).Undervalued said:
Plus possibly all kinds of other factors that the average end user can't properly assess.jshm2 said:To be fair, I have a Samsung powerbank, Anker one and "Chinese" one - the difference is just speed of charge - not capacity.
For example, how well (if at all) does it regulate the maximum current it will supply to keep that within the tolerance of its components? As we are approaching winter heated body warmers and gloves will become popular again. These take a significant current (mini electric blanket) and I do wonder about the ability of some power banks to safely provide this repeatedly. A friend bought a body warmer last winter and found that the power bank (in an internal pocket) got considerably warmer than the garment! If that suddenly ignited under her winter coat it could be very nasty indeed.1 -
Indeed but obviously forum questions are read by far more than just the OP.flaneurs_lobster said:

The body warmer I'm aware of was bought by a friend on Amazon. The power bank was not supplied with it but was apparently "recommended" as suitable on the same page! Cosmetically it seems nicely made, with a LCD digital display showing the level of charge, but unknown Oriental make. I'm somewhat sceptical!1 -
Just a tad off topic @RomfordNavy but did you buy a DAC/Amp for those phones?0

Costco has a 2kwh one for £750 at the moment. Seems pretty reasonable to me.No reliance should be placed on the above! Absolutely none, do you hear?1

Although you'd need to add the cost of a trolly to wheel the 23kg about, not even seriously hard !!!!!! military units expect their people to lug that weight about in a backpack.GDB2222 said:Costco has a 2kwh one for £750 at the moment. Seems pretty reasonable to me.2
