Pension credit/ Mandatory Reconsideration

My mother did Mandatory Reconsideration 12 weeks ago. Within this time my mother has phoned PC 5 times last phone call 2 weeks ago. The person on the phone said I will a email to MR department. But mother has still not heared anything.

Its really frustrating for her because it is PC fault. Is there anything else she can do?

Thanks

Writing to her MP might help. The MP should be able to ask the DWP what the  hold up is.
The comments I post are my personal opinion. While I try to check everything is correct before posting, I can and do make mistakes, so always try to check official information sources before relying on my posts.

Do I need to phone PC credit and tell them that I want to complaint and want it escalated to senior member of staff. Or go directly to the local MP.?

I don't want to MP and get told complaint first.

    Thanks

Go straight to the MP; they shouldn't be concerned that you haven't made a formal complaint.

It would be better to write from your Mum's email address if she has one. If she doesn't, just let the MP know this when you write.

As above, go straight to your MP. You could wait weeks for a complaint to be actioned.

Sadly the waiting times for Pension Credit have been very bad over the last couple of years.  When I applied for it I got a reply after 13 months.  I was awarded it and  it was nice to see 13 months worth of money suddenly appear in my bank account.  😺

Our local MP is very good at contacting the DWP on our behalf, I’ve known a few people who have successfully done that
