Manchester Airport parking charge

I received a parking charge from APCOA parking saying that I had not made a valid payment. I appealed this charge as I had made the £5 payment straight away when I got back from the airport. (this was for a 2 minute drop off!). I then had to appeal the parking ticket. APCOA did not uphold my appeal. So I had to go to POPLA where they were going to take no further action.
My question is if I can get compensation for this charge. I wasted several hours, contacting my banking, who explained they could verify that I had paid within the time frame. I had to gather my banking statements. It also caused a great deal of stress and anxiety dealing with whole episode.
There is no one to phone at the parking company. The letters become increasingly threatening and the money going up each time you appeal. The end result was only ever emailed to me, with no apology.

Put it to rest and move on
Even if you were to make a claim, you would have to pay out at least £35 to start a court claim using MCOL2 -
Perhaps a robust complaint to the DVLA for selling your data without reasonable cause.3
