EPA deed of revocation and change of address

My parents signed EPAs in 2007 naming each other and my brother as their attorneys. They now want to revoke the EPAs and replace them with LPAs but my brother has since changed address. On the Deed of revocation, should we put the old address (so that it matches the EPA) or the new address? Many thanks.

Were the EPAs actually registered ?
AS I recalll, unlike LPAs which are registered straight away, EPAs only had to be registered at the point where the donor lost capacity (and if they have then then they won't be able to create LPAs now).

No, they were never registered. They want to replace them with LPAs so apparently they need to complete the deed of revocation.

I think I'd put '[Name], of [current address] previously [address on EPA]

If the EPA has never been shared with any banks etc, no-one apart from your parents is ever going to see either document anyhow

do you actually need to do this? I used an EPA for 3 years until the death of the donor. My address on it was out of date but I don't recall anyone having a problem, I just produced proof of name and address with each organisation when implementing the EPA with them. The EPA was never registered as no capacity loss.

Can take a bit of explaining as there aren't many around now, given that they couldn't be created after 2007 and most donors will have passed on, but they are absolutely still valid.

you will need a separate health and welfare LPA under the modern system.

just a thought to save a 10+ week gap...
