- got a parking ticket in jan 25 for Vehicle Not Parked Within A Marked Bay.
- at the time appealed the fine but wasn't aware of this forum section so appealed online with a generic kind of reply about the vehicle being to big for the bay. they referred to signage and didn't accept.
- email was ignored.
- they've took it to court but had a slight error on the address and a character missing from the name. this has led to letters been delivered to a shop rather than the flat. shop isnt trading so letter was received late. ive received the letters when the judgement has already been applied.
now the 30 days for the case is tomorrow. amount due is 290.
from what I've read i can possibly go down the route of submitting the n244 form
in my case my main issue is i dont want it affecting my credit rating, what would be the better option to pay it and itl gets removed as its the first 30 days or to submit the n244 on the fact the letter wasn't received till after the judgment was made.
thanks

It will affect your credit rating temporarily if you apply to set aside the CCJ, but that is the best route as in the end it costs you nothing at all if the judge orders the C to pay your court fee.
Paying it within the calendar month wipes it.
DO NOT be tempted to pay it after the expiry of a calendar month.PRIVATE 'PCN'? DON'T PAY BUT DON'T IGNORE IT (except N.Ireland).

the letter dated for the 27th august so technically if paid by today im within the month. is it wiped automatically once payment is made or do you have to go through a process as got a few insurance renewals in 6 weeks so would be better if nothing on my name due to previous issues already for creditDont forget to thank me if it helps0

An application to set aside a CCJ where the claim was improperly addressed would not fail because there is binding case law (VCS v Carr) from this year. And because the CPRs mean such a set aside is mandatory, not at the judge's discretion.
If you pay it today in full to the solicitor, it is wiped almost immediately and automatically.PRIVATE 'PCN'? DON'T PAY BUT DON'T IGNORE IT (except N.Ireland).
