    Definitely? No, not necessarily, but very likely.  She might be entitled to more or less but it has nothing to do with the child or new partner.

  • They’ve been married 4 years. They own properties, I don’t think there is a problem with gathering the financial information. She’s more bothered that now she has met someone else and is pregnant with his baby before any financial agreement has been decided she won’t get at least her 50% share. Even though she has a child with the husband.

    Often a short marriage, under 5 years, aims to return a couple close to the situation prior to marriage, but when a child is involved their needs are priority.

    So the settlement might be biased a bit towards the child.
