I would like to listen to past Radio4 programs but can only get Alexa to give Radio4 live. I get past programs easily on my phone but not on Echo show and speakers.

Mine works fine by saying the name of the programme too but thats usually on Radio 2, no reason why I would think Radio 4 would be any different. Maybe try asking it to open BBC Sounds first1

Thanks i will try that.

We listen to BBC 'Radio Local' most mornings (till it becomes 'not very local')After every hourly news bulletin, it says something along the lines of"for more news, ask your smart speaker to play BBC News for 'Local' "0

Not sure how to bluetooth my phone to Alexa.
Goto Settings, Device Settings
Select the Alexa device you want to Bluetooth to
Should see "Bluetooth Connections option
(note not all alexa devices allow bluetooth)
Once connected, you can use BBC Sounds (or anyother audio app) on phone - sending audio to the Alexa

Anyway, I’ve done it, and it’s surprisingly easy!No reliance should be placed on the above! Absolutely none, do you hear?1 -
Thanks all, I now have it playing via my phone, disapointed it won't play direct from BBC Sounds though.0
