Shirt collar stain

Whats the best way to remove a sweat stain from a shirt collar? The shirt in questions is a polyester and cotton mix from M&S. Not sure how long the stain has been there, but its both sides of the collar. I have washed and dried the shirt multiple times, hoping its not a permanent stain. Photo attached. Thanks.

Have you tried a stain remover like Vanish oxy action spray on it?

I fear though if it's been washed and dried multiple times (and presumably ironed) that the stain may now have set through washing and heat.
  • Saw something on 'The Repair Shop' once where they used shaving foam on old stains which apparently gets into the fabric and lifts the stain. Worth a try?
