Is it normal for attendance allowance to be awarded for one year or is it normally awarded indefinitely?

Is this a new claim? It's usually awarded for a fixed period unless you have a condition and needs which are unlikely to change / improve. A shorter award can be made if the Decision Maker thinks that your condition is likely to change. For example, if you are awaiting surgery (eg hip joint replacement) or even if the DM is unsure if your condition may stay stable and could get worse (eg if you get the lower rate and may eventually qualify for the higher rate).Bowey123 said:Is it normal for attendance allowance to be awarded for one year or is it normally awarded indefinitely?0 -
