    Without an active solicitor handling the estate I think you and your cousin might want to seek guidance and advice as required of the Solicitors Regulation Authority on how to move matters forward ?
    Apparently they are the "go to" body where a sole practioner is unable to fulfill his/her duties.

    Thanks. I actually had a look there yesterday but have now instructed another solicitor to deal with some up and coming conveyancing and will ask them about the other matters too. It's a small town and this new solicitor knows the other and said they will be able to speak with them.
