Recieved a notice to keeper letter. Saying i have a £60 fine for parking for 15 mins. Could this be disputed as being excessive?

That's not how to dispute it but you don't pay it. Which parking firm, which car park, what went wrong to cause a PCN?PRIVATE 'PCN'? DON'T PAY BUT DON'T IGNORE IT (except N.Ireland).

Smart parking is the Compnay. Carpark was the Sir Robert Peal in Bloxwich. Genuinly didnt see the signs when i pulled onto the carpark (not an excuse, just what happened) went in, had a pint with my dad and left, all within 15 mins. was supposed to have put my reg into the ipad on the bar, didnt see this either...0

Then the signs were not prominent enough. Google: Lord Denning Red Hand Rule.
Ignore them, if the pub won't cancel it. Which you'll know already is always 'PLAN A' if you read NEWBIES PLEASE READ THESE FAQS FIRST. The pub needs to hear your wrath. They can cancel it.
You'll never be paying but 'appeal' is a farce.PRIVATE 'PCN'? DON'T PAY BUT DON'T IGNORE IT (except N.Ireland).

I’ve been back since though and the signs are prominent enough, I just didn’t notice them. I won’t win an appeal for trying that. Which is why I was asking about it being excessive. I was there 15 mins, if there supposed to give you a grace period, you could argue I was there for 5 mins. £60 for 5 mins of parking seems excessive to me. Do you think I have an argument?0

The signs were not adequate and there was no contractual sign next to the VRM tablet either. Believe us, we know these trap sites!Which is why I was asking about it being excessive. I was there 15 mins, if there supposed to give you a grace period, you could argue I was there for 5 mins. £60 for 5 mins of parking seems excessive to me. Do you think I have an argument? Not on that basis, no. That argument went out a decade ago with ParkingEye v Beavis (Supreme Court).

You'll never be paying anyway. It reads as if you don't really have the confidence to know that yet? Seems you need to read the NEWBIES FAQS thread again and/or the official MSE Guide linked at the top of the page, which was fact-checked by me this summer and by Martin Lewis himself.
