DCB Legal Parking Ticket Help

scrapbookwardrobe

Hi,
I've lurked in the forums for a number of months as my parking case progressed (slowly).
I believe i've completed each step as laid out in the newbies thread and the various threads i've seen.
A summarised background of my case -
I received a parking charge back for a stay in a car park in March 2023, of which i do have what i would consider a valid parking ticket covering my time in the car park. I am even pictured leaving the same time as my ticket leave time states!! What i believe DBB legal are going at is i took 10 minutes to get the ticket. This was due to circumstances such as needing to get my 6 month and a machine not working leading to me needing to go to another machine, with the 10 minutes being a reasonable time to consider and get a ticket.
I have a witness, my still current boyfriend who was with me at the time which i intend to use at the witness statement stage.
My submissions:
Your acknowledgment of service was received on 06/08/2025
Your defence was submitted on 28/08/2025
Your defence was received on 29/08/2025
I have today received an email from DCB Legal that they intend to proceed and a copy of their DQ, also with an extremely generous offer to call and settle immediately (not).
It's my understanding that I ignore DCB's offer and wait for the court to issue me a DQ to complete?
Also I believe I must attend a mediation session and say an offer of £0.
What stage do i need to provide my witness statements / evidence and does this just get uploaded on MCOL? Also do i need to email it to DCB or will sending to the court be sufficient.
Apologies if the questions are basic and already explained elsewhere, i was hopeful after the defence DCB would drop this but guess not.. and the closer it gets to feeling as though it will go to court i can't help but feel more anxious about it!
Any advice or help would be amazing!
Thanks

Please name the private parking company claimant that issued the pcn
DCB Legal are contractors acting for their clients, so acting for the parking company
They banned the 5 minutes to pay in full rules about 8 months ago, so you have a good case even if the incident was before this year, as long as full payment was made and covered the time on site
You are correct with the stages so far etc
When your N180 DQ document arrives in the post, download it instead, fill in the pdf and email it as an attachment to the DQ email address at the CNBC, as explained in the 8 steps, you email it to DCB Legal as well as to the CNBC
The Witness Statement plus Exhibits bundle stage wont be for several months, so probably next year in spring, your local nominated civil court will write to you with that court order, not the CNBC, so not the online MCOL system
MCOL plays no further part or involvement once they transfer the paperwork to your local civil court
Your WS bundle is emailed to the local court and also to DCB Legal as well
DCB legal rarely if ever back off in a case started on MCOL until the case gets to the hearing fee payment deadline, so usually discontinue at that point, depending on what their client wants, so it depends on who the claimant is
They don't discontinue at the interim stages, so your expectations were false, next year near the hearing fee payment date is their decision making point, not after the defence0 -
Hi Gr1pr,
Thanks for the time taken with the reply and good to know regarding the 5 minute consideration period
The private parking company was Euro Car Parks.
Understood with the DQ, i will continue with the steps and what you have referenced above.
After that point from what it seems it is just a waiting game until the court issues the W/S bundle.
Appreciate if unknown or if this varies, will the W/S generally be completed prior to the court hearing fee being required?
I'd almost like to get my information together ready for if/when the W/S is needed, but obviously wouldn't want to waste the time doing this if (fingers crossed) the court hearing fee is required before W/S and DCB discontinue?
Thank you so much again, for the information you have provided already0 -
