  • No they can't add interest once it's defaulted

    Yes you can set up a standing order online, make sure they get the correct  proportion of the total amount you can afford to pay.

    So if you can afford £100 in total a month and the Zopa is 1 tenth of the total you owe then you pay them £10 monthly.
    If you go down to the woods today you better not go alone.

    You don't have to contact them about what you'll be paying but it will keep them off your back if you do. Normally you can just log in to their website to set up a plan but failing that just send them an email with the details. If they insist on income and expenditure details then just make up something plausible that arrives at the figures you want.
