Morning all and thanks @Gers for starting us off. It's another fine and sunny day here, virtually no breeze at all and no rain expected. It's supposed to be like this all week so one day (maybe tomorrow) I want to go to the CS to drop off my donations and have a browse. My wish list remains stubbornly unfulfilled but I live in hope.
Yesterday I made two portions of mac'n cheese plus a tub of hummus, got the washing done, took in a parcel for NDN, did some cross stitch in the afternoon and watched TV in the evening. Today's grocery delivery should be here around midday, just one OOS (not a disaster) and one acceptable sub. While I'm waiting I'll put the BM on for a loaf and bake a cake for the empty tin; afterwards I'll pack away the summer clothes as I doubt they'll be needed again this year. Tea tonight is sausage and beans with sliced/fried leftover potatoes and some tinned peaches with yogurt for afters.
@Gers - Glad to hear you've got your letter, I hope the appointment doesn't get cancelled.
@AA - Enjoy your stay in Cornwall.
@Coxy - If truth be told, I could eat mince pies and hot cross buns any day but don't, otherwise there'd be nothing to look forward to! And yes, the purple is taking some getting used to.
@remmie - Good luck for Saturday, try to not stress out too much.
@mehefin - Shame you can't spray paint the walls, it would be so much quicker!
Right, coffee break done with so I'd best get on. Have a good day, take care and keep plodding on. XBe kind to others and to yourself too.10 -
Morning all, nice and sunny again.I haven't been posting as I felt rotten with a very dodgy tummy - seems better today but I still feel tired. My early morning dog walks are getting later. I stopped to chat to other dog owners - I couldn't do that for the last few years when we had Ly1a. After she got bitten by a small dog that was it as far as dog socialisation went, which was a shame as she used to love running around with other dogs in the field before we moved here.I'm going to make up a hamper of food goodies for our friends 70th next week, just need a basket to put them in so might try Dune1m. She says she doesn't want anything but I can't do that when I got an Am...n voucher and an orchid from themPork steaks for tea, nice and easy. Take care all- I haven't read back for a few days, hope you're all ok.:heartsmil 'A woman is like a teabag: You never know her strength until you drop her in hot water'. (Eleanor Roosevelt)9
