Windscreen ticket help please

I am really really sorry, I have tried to read the posts, but I am autistic and struggle to read detailed information on screens.
Tonight I parked in the car park of a Magnets store in Nottingham, it was after it had closed, about 19:00.  There were no signs evident when I parked and as I was going to be less than 1 hour and the store was closed I thought it would be OK.  I returned (19:26) to a windscreen ticket (which I struggled to peel off and it left a large glue mark on the screen  but that's another issue!)

It's titled PARKING CHARGE CPS(Midlands)LTD. and it claims I was "Parked without displaying a valid ticket/permit"
On removing the ticket, I looked around the car park and there are no machines, and the only signs were on the building, on the opposite side to that I parked facing, in tiny font (unreadable from in the car) and as there were no lights in the car park and it was late evening and dark, I couldn't actually read them.

I think from the info that I managed to take in from the newbie thread, I should wait now, and then send a template letter.  Is that correct?

Honestly I am tempted to just pay up as I don't deal with stress very well, but equally my autistic sense of injustice has been activated and I am angry as if I had seen signs saying you couldn't park, I wouldn't have and I absolutely wouldn't have parked there when the shop was open.

Sorry.

Yep as long as you own your car and the logbook has the right address on it (check!) then just wait for the NTK, end of next month.
PRIVATE 'PCN'? DON'T PAY BUT DON'T IGNORE IT (except N.Ireland).
