Debt Recovery Plus - Luton Airport

Hi all.
Does anyone have a email for Debt Recovery Plus? They don't answer their phones and are trying to get £165.00 from me, claiming I didn't pay for picking my son up at Luton airport, which I did, twice the next day and have bank statements showing that I paid. They are impossible to get hold off and I wanted to send an email cc in my local MP and the transport minister. Im not going to pay this debt, however I do not want debt collectors coming to my home, so would like to take relevant action. Absolute scum bags.

    DRP do not visit anyone
Where did you get the notion they would?
    Iignore DRP
  • Good that they didn't answer you never phone these idiots anyway, they won't listen and will just talk codswallop at you.
You don't have a debt only an alleged debt from a private parking firm, and it was never £165.
Debt Recovery plus are a no win no fee bunch of idiots that should be ignored, they don't own a debt in this case and can't do diddly squat except huff and puff, they certainly will not be visiting you at home.
As this is not relevant land the whole thing will time out after six months and they will stop anyway.

Why on earth are you trying to engage with them? Stop! Don't talk or engage.

It's also nothing to do with the DFT. It is the MHCLG's baby ... so: FIGHTBACK ALERT - just days to go!

Please do the government's Public Consultation. We need every poster to complete this vital survey before the deadline. See this thread:

    https://forums.moneysavingexpert.com/discussion/6617396/parking-code-of-practice-consultation-now-extended-closes-friday-26th-september/p1

We understand that you may need some pointers. It looks laborious, we get that. It doesn't matter; no knowledge is needed except re your own experiences so you can call out a scam industry and you'll protect millions of motorists and help change the law.

I've written some guidance to help focus new posters on the issues. I've covered almost every question, providing ideas if you agree with our stance on things like DRFs, which we say must be banned.

Ordinary people like you are falling victim to this scam over 18 million times per annum. Motorists need your voice added please.

    CLOSES THIS FRIDAY.

For inspiration read the Which? response they've just published:

P.S. if you didn't get the initial postal PCN from the parking firm it's very likely the address on your logbook is OUT OF DATE! That's serious and needs sorting with the DVLA if we are right.
