Thanks for any advice.

Yep try again and ask for a manager. Asda can and will cancel PCNs after the event. They have a direct 'cancellations' email or portal. I helped a friend get that done at Brighton Asda last month. You just need a manager if the CS staff fob you off.
By the way don't let them try the old chestnut 'we don't own the car park'.
Yes they do. ParkingEye do NOT own car parks.PRIVATE 'PCN'? DON'T PAY BUT DON'T IGNORE IT (except N.Ireland).

@Coupon-mad I went back in today and a different customer services rep and her manager were much more helpful. They suggested I contacted Parkingeye but I said they are not very helpful and i was sure Asda could waive the notice. They got the store manager who knew how to do it. They said it might take 4 weeks. I got her to make a note of what she had said on the notice in case I have any other issues. Thanks for all your excellent advice.2

Good! Check the ParkingEye website weekly until you see this PCN change to £0.Green_hopeful said:@Coupon-mad I went back in today and a different customer services rep and her manager were much more helpful. Hi @Green_hopeful. I'd like to know if you can share if you came right with this in the end?
I've come away today having had a very similar experience. I got back to my car and realized it was, 'touch and go' whether I'd leave the car park within the 2 hour limit so I decided to take a precaution and head into ASDA, buy some items and ask for them to extend my parking. The customer service staff were ready and willing to help but their tablet which they process extensions on was broken. They proceeded to call for the manager to come to the front desk. A team leader showed up and told me they only do it for ambulances and police and that its, "a private car park so they can't help". Strangely, before giving me that answer he first asked how long I had over stayed and how much I had spent in-store. Why does that matter when they can't help either way? I smell a fob off!
Either way, I'll be back tomorrow and demand to speak to the manager instead of the team leader.

Surprised you drove past the camera TBH, given that it was Asda who held you up.

@miffy_mulled_win the second visit did come good. To be fair my husband became unwell on the day. He didn’t even make it into Asda. He lost his vision in one eye, realised he had detached his retina and went to find an optician. The delay was the optician arranging an emergency appointment at the hospital.
The first person i spoke to said no. She said we needed to ask on the day.
So i went back the next day and spoke to her supervisor and the supervisor got the store manager to do whatever needed doing to waive the penalty notice. I was super nice but pushed her to do it.

Yep just ask someone else or contact Asda on social media or as a complaint on their website.
