Items Stolen from Evri Parcel

My husband and I both bought our daughter some dresses from Oh Polly for her to try on for her graduation.  She kept one dress and we send the others back for a refund.  Neither of us received a full refund.  Cut a long story short, the parcels Oh Polly received had been opened and taped back up again.  This happened somewhere between dropping the parcels off at the Evri drop off point and being received byt Oh Polly.  I have a photo of the outside of the package which was sent by Oh Polly.  I am unable to contact Evri.  I have asked for a manager to contact me using the useless chat bot.  I have phoned numberous time but cannot speak to anyone and the email address on their website is a no reply address.  Oh Polly will no longer engage with us and have now closed the case.  We asked them to liaise with Evri regarding the theft but they are not willing to.

    Who arranged the return delivery?   Did you arrange it yourself, or did Oh Polly arrange it?

    So you bought them separately and alleged both returned parcels were interfered with? 

    Inevitably parcel tampering does happen but it seems exceptionally unlucky for both parcels sent independently to have been interfered with. 

    Who paid for/arranged the returns? You or the vendor? In principle if the vendor did its their problem as soon as you hand the parcels to the courier, if you did then its your problem until they are delivered to the vendor.

    Were the dresses returned in two parcels or all together? You say you both bought dresses but then say you have (been sent?) a photo of 'the package' suggesting the dresses you each bought were returned together? What are they saying was inside the parcel they received?
    If you both returned your purchases separately were they dropped off at the same drop shop/locker and on the same day? It would seem very unfortunate for two parcels to be interfered with but if they are both high value returns it is certainly feasible if soneone were to tamper with one they would likely tamper with both.
    Has the retailer given any indication that they accept the parcel(s) have been damage/tampered with in transit? Or are they claiming the parcel(s) are as you packed them?
