Thanks guys I will get appeal in as advised using the following template/words, 

This is an appeal by the registered keeper - No driver details will be given. Please do not bother with your known fishing expedition in an attempt to get driver details to try and get around the fact there is no keeper liability (and never can be under POFA).

Due to this being airport land you will be well aware there is no keeper liability due to the byelaws in force and the fact this is not relevant land.

As there is no keeper liability then liability cannot flow from the driver to the keeper and thus is an auto win @ POPLA. Please therefore cancel the notice or issue a POPLA code where you will auto withdraw

If you waste your time asking for driver details this will be ignored and you will still lose at POPLA if you dont cancel the PCN

So let's save my time and yours and cancel this PCN you simply cannot win this (and you know it).

I'll let you know the outcome

Finally a reply from APCOA.

I must admit I was worried, and it felt like overkill to appeal in the way advised, especially as payment had been made for the allotted time, just paid, in advance, in error, rather than after leaving. But it did work and I thank you guys for the help and advice given. Without you I would have made a complete mess of the appeal, and ended up paying a lot more. Here is the response from APCOA: 

We refer to your recent correspondence relating to Parking Charge ***************

We have carefully reviewed your appeal, taking into consideration all the points you have raised, and, on

this occasion, we have decided to cancel this Parking Charge.

As this Parking Charge has been cancelled, there is no further action required by you at this time.

Hope that this posting will help/encourage others to appeal.
