Child Benefit NI Credits

Is it possible to claim NI credits towards my state pension for years I was eligible for child benefit as a parent but did not register for it, and how?

I think it may depend on why you didn't claim.
If it's because your income (or your partners income) was over the threshold for having to pay it back, I believe HMRC are going to put something in place to allow back credits to be awarded, but I don't know the detail.
If it;s because the other parent claimed it but didn't need the credits as they were alos earning them through work , then I thin kther is a mechanism for getting the credits transferred.

If it's simply because you weren't aware of the benefit and / or made the choice not to claim, I'm not sure.....
